Summer Fun...continued

I am still trying to figure out how to create posts. I know there has to be an easier way. In the first Summer Fun post I was trying to write and then add pics. That was proving to be difficult. So...this time I am adding pics and then writing. Can anyone clue me in on how they do it?

So...we also spent time at the beach this summer. It is quite a drive to get there from Beaumont-about an hour and a half-if there is no traffic. The kids have been learning how to bodyboard-it is alot of fun watching them. Hunter wants to try his hand at surfing. He has been bugging Ryan to take him, so they are gonna go soon. Dylan is not too keen on the waves attacking him so he tends to stick to playing in the sand. He is also partial to eating it:)

I love this pic of the boys looking out at the surf.
We also spent alot of time swimming at Grandpa and Grandma Morris'. The kids learned to swim this summer, which is exciting. Kind of scary though too. Hailey tends to swim to the deep end and then tries to stand. Needless to say, that doesn't work out too well. But it didn't seem to scare her enough not to do it again! Even Dylan was trying to learn how to swim, he is really good at kicking and trying to doggy paddle-too cute. Hunter decided that he likes sliding down their slide and jumping off the diving board. We had so much fun swimming there this summer. We are already looking forward to next summer!

Summer Fun...

Where did the summer go? It just seemed to fly by. Ofcourse living in Southern California is kind of deceivng...besides there being school, it still feels like summer-we wore shorts through November last year! Anyways, we were able to do alot of fun things this summer despite the fact that Ryan worked alot. We just squeezed things in wherever we could. I definitely think that we made the most of our summer.....

We went to the river quite a bit. It is our favorite thing to do year round. But I especially love it during the summer. I don't actually like the 115*-120* heat but I love going on the boat, laying out and watching the kids play in the water. The kids decided(and us adults too:)that anchoring the boat on the river and just jumping in again and again is the best way to escape the heat. I even went wakeboarding a few times this summer! The kids think it is hilarious when mommy does things like that. Hahaha...well, they did AFTER their initial shock. You should have seen the look on Hailey's face the first time I went-you would have thought I was gonna jump off a building! Which is funny, seeing as she has seen daddy wakeboard a ton of times. But there was just something about me doing it that freaked her out...
Hunter did a couple of soccer camps. He loved them but it was sooo hot!!!

Our Family

I thought that it was about time that I started a blog for our family. My hubby, Ryan started one about a year ago but I can't find it. I am going to try to keep it as up to date as possible. I have never done this before so I have to figure it all out.

At this time, we are living in Beaumont, CA. Ryan is working at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He is in his 3rd year of Anesthesia Residency. He has about a year and 8 months left. He works really hard and is great at what he does. He loves anesthesia. It takes him away from home ALOT and that is really hard but we can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We have 3 kidlets: Hunter-5, Hailey-3 and Dylan-16 months. We are so blessed to have them in our life. They are beautiful, wonderful, HILARIOUS children.
